Chubbs is a social golf club on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. It played its first recorded round on 4 June 2022 and its most recent on 16 August 2026. It is not a demo club, a seeded example or a pilot built to be photographed: it is 86 golfers who were already playing together, and everything below is counted from what they have actually done.

The club arrived with its past
Most club software starts a club at zero. Chubbs did not start at zero — it had years of results in spreadsheets before any of this existed. 16 of the 68 rounds on its board are that history, imported so the honour board and the career tables begin where the club actually began rather than where the software did.
Those 16 rounds are labelled as imported history everywhere they appear, and they carry results without hole-by-hole detail, because that detail was never written down. The other 52 were scored in the app, hole by hole, which is where all 13,776 hole scores and every statistic come from. The club can see which is which on every screen. So can we — that is the point.
What four seasons make possible
A season here is a championship, not a running total: best-N-of-M counting rounds, majors weighted double, grades frozen at tee-off so a player cannot be promoted out of a placing after the fact. Four completed seasons mean the club has an honour board with real names on it, career tables that span years rather than months, head-to-head records between members who have played each other dozens of times, and a presentation night that reads the final board out bottom-up.
None of that is available to a club in its first month, with any software. It is the reason the club’s history was worth importing.
How members actually use it
Members do not install anything. A round is scored from a link in the group chat, in a browser, with no account and no password — which is what makes a 86-member roster workable when a dozen of those members would never download a golf app. An organiser holds a PIN; up to five co-organisers can be named so the club is not one person’s phone.
A member who wants more can claim a private Player Passport, and their club cards flow into it automatically — GPS shot capture, club distances, strokes gained, a career timeline. The club side and the player side are the same identity and the same rounds, which is the part no other product in this category has.
What we are not claiming
Chubbs’ handicaps are a World Handicap System calculation run for club use. They are not official Golf Australia handicaps and are labelled unofficial in the product. No app outside Golf Australia’s own can submit a conforming social score today. If that changes, we will say so here first.
This is one club. It is the club the software was built for and with, which makes it the most demanding user we have and the least representative sample we could offer. We would rather say that than imply a customer base we do not yet have.
