Imagery source: Esri, Vantor, Earthstar Geographics and the GIS User Community. The live map requests online tiles from the Esri World Imagery service and does not offer offline tile export.

Terrain elevation
Elevation source: Mapzen Terrain Tiles, accessed from the public AWS Open Data bucket. The app uses the Terrarium-encoded PNG tiles for visual terrain relief.

Course shapes
Course shapes © OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Tees, fairways, greens, bunkers and water on the hole map and on the public course pages are drawn from OpenStreetMap data, imported per course and served as static files. Pars and stroke indexes that a course file did not carry are shown as absent, never guessed.

Competition use
The 3D view deliberately shows no elevation measurement, plays-like distance or automated line or club recommendation. It still visualises relief from elevation data. Under R&A Rule 4.3, distance and direction information is generally allowed, while measuring elevation changes and automated interpretation are not. A Committee may also prohibit distance-measuring devices through Model Local Rule G-5.
For a competition round, use the 2D distance view unless the Committee confirms that the 3D view is permitted. See R&A Rule 4.3.
